If you have a green South African ID book or Smart ID card, you can RICA online – it uses South Africa's Home Affairs National Identification System to verify your identity. But you can still activate your SIM with a passport – we’ll just need to verify your identity face-to-face. Our RAM agents are authorised to do this – you’ll just have to order a new SIM from our website. Delivery is free, so it won't cost you a cent.
